Susterra, the new range of solutions with sustainable attributes.

Susterra is born to give new impetus to our Sustainability Roadmap 2030, and will be a catalyst for achieving zero-emission concrete by 2050.
In line with the new identity, at Molins we are launching Susterra, the new range of solutions that brings together all those products and solutions that allow us to make a significant leap forward in the field of sustainability. Susterra will help us to achieve our goals and to highlight the value of our actions and investments.
This new range distinguishes products and solutions with a strong contribution to emissions reduction and decarbonisation, to the circular economy, or that promote a safer working environment for people.
Susterra materialises our commitment to circularity in industrial processes by using up to 55% of the thermal energy needed to manufacture cement from alternative sources to fossil fuels. We achieve this thanks to the energy recovery of solid recovered fuels (SRF) or end-of-life tyres (ELT), materials which, if conventional management methods were followed, would be deposited in landfills. This lower consumption of fossil fuels in turn allows us to reduce the carbon footprint of our cements and concretes, which, thanks to this and other measures, manage to reduce the CO2 emissions associated with their production by more than 20%.
Requirements for our Susterra products
Since our beginnings, at Molins we have had a wide range of solutions for construction. Now, with the Susterra range, we recognise and make recognisable those solutions with more sustainable attributes:
- Cements with CO2 emission reductions of more than 20%1
- Concretes with emission reductions of more than 25%2 compared to conventional concretes.
- Mortars and screeds manufactured with more than 2.5% of recycled raw materials in their composition (out of the total raw materials used to manufacture the product).
- Products recovered as materials and fuels, 100 % of recycled origin.
- Street furniture incorporating 8% recycled aggregates in its composition(percentage of total materials used to manufacture the furniture).
EMICODE-certified cementitious products with very low emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
