About us
We want to promote the development of society and people's quality of life by creating innovative and sustainable solutions in the construction sector.
History
1928
Since Don Juan Molins Parera founded Cementos Molins in 1928 to give continuity to the quarrying and manufacture of lime and natural cement in Pallejà, Vallirana and Sant Vicenç dels Horts (Barcelona), the history of Molins has been one of uninterrupted evolution.
1942
In 1942 we went public and in 1943 we commissioned the first rotary kiln for Portland cement with a capacity of 50 tonnes per day. This was just the beginning: during the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s, our production capacity increased considerably with improvements in equipment and facilities.
1980
During the 1980s, Cementos Molins expanded geographically and diversified its products, which made it a brand with a wide range of national and international businesses spread over four continents.
1990-2010
In the 1980s, 1990s and well into the 2000s and 2010s, we had a significant presence in Argentina, Mexico, Uruguay, Bangladesh, Tunisia, Bolivia and Colombia.
