High-Performance Resin Flooring: PROPAM® FLOOR System in Sant Boi de Llobregat
Durability and resistance are critical in industrial flooring, where surfaces must withstand heavy mechanical loads, continuous traffic and exposure to chemicals. In a manufacturing facility in Sant Boi de Llobregat, a complete refurbishment was carried out using the high-thickness PROPAM® FLOOR resin system, selected for its outstanding mechanical performance, chemical resistance and long-term durability.

A Large-Scale Project Executed with Precision
Covering a total area of 12,000 m², the project was executed in four phases of 3,000 m² to maintain plant activity with minimal disruption. The goal was to replace a deteriorated floor with a continuous, seamless and waterproof solution capable of meeting demanding industrial requirements.
Thanks to its formulation and multi-layer configuration, the PROPAM® FLOOR system improved the structural condition of the substrate while providing superior resistance to abrasion, impacts and aggressive chemical agents.

Application of the PROPAM® FLOOR System
1. Substrate Preparation
The concrete was mechanically prepared through diamond grinding, sanding and industrial vacuuming to eliminate contaminants, remove loose material and ensure optimal adhesion of the new system.
2. Primer – PROPAM® FLOOR 100 ADH
A two-component epoxy primer was applied to seal the substrate and promote excellent chemical bonding with subsequent layers.
3. Intermediate Layers – PROPAM® FLOOR 150
Two high-thickness epoxy layers were installed to withstand heavy industrial loads. The first layer was broadcast with silica sand to achieve an anti-slip texture and increase abrasion resistance.
4. Finish – PROPAM® FLOOR 250 BARNIZ
The system was completed with a transparent aliphatic polyurethane varnish offering UV resistance, long-term color stability and enhanced ease of maintenance.
