Radon barrier system in concrete floor slab

SolutionRadon barrier system in concrete floor slab

System namePROPAM STOP RADON CONCRETE

System description

The most effective solution for cutting off the entry of radon gas is the use of membranes certified for this purpose. This is a system for waterproofing and insulating against radon gas in mortar and concrete substrates against and in favour of hydrostatic pressure, perfectly compatible with masonry substrates, saving layers, both in new construction and renovation.

Descriptive memory

Anti-radon barrier on concrete, screed mortar or masonry supports with the PROPAM STOP RADON CONCRETE system from “MOLINS”. Sealing cracks and junctions of through elements with silane-modified polymer sealant, PROPAM® SEAL MS45 from MOLINS, hardening even with humidity, meeting the requirements of EN 15651-1 Type F EXT-INT CC and EN 15651-4 Type PW CC standards and elongation at break; 400%. Waterproofing by impregnation of walls and concrete slab, using hydraulic mortar with a flexible waterproofing coating and barrier against radon gas formulated based on cement, selected aggregates, and special waterproofing resins, PROPAM® IMPE FLEX from MOLINS. Suitable for pressure and counterpressure up to 10 atm. Applied in two coats in a minimum thickness of 2 mm and reinforced in singular points such as floor-wall junctions, beams, cracks and through pipes with PROPAM® TAPE SEAL elastic band. It meets the requirements of standard EN 1504_2 and standard EN 14891, and also certifies a cohef. diffusion to radon gas = 3.4 x 10-12 m2/s.
