PROPAM® TAPE SEAL

PROPAM® TAPE SEAL is a high performance sealing system for expansion joints, joins, half shafts, cracks or fissures, made of a high elasticity, impermeable thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) strip, with thermo-welded polypropylene geotextile over its full surface and on both faces. Once the substrate is fixed it allows joint movement, both indoors and outdoors. The system is fixed by using the BETOPOX® 920 P epoxy adhesive, BETOPUR polyurethane membrane, PROPAM® IMPELÁSTIC acrylic membrane or BETOPAINT 91 FIBRAS or with a cement mortar with high adherence such as FLEXITEC/PROPAM® IMPE FLEX, when there is humidity in the joints.

  • Treating joints and fissures in walls, roofs and patios, water tanks, purifying plants, swimming pools, basements and galleries.

  • Joints between rigid and flexible materials.

  • Sealing irregular cracks and fissures in concrete structures.

  • Waterproofing of joins and half shafts in damp rooms such as changing rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, etc.

  • Sealing perimeter joins with façades.

  • Suitable for application in permanent immersion.

  • Applicable on dry and wet substrates.

  • Good chemical strength against salts,acids and diluted bases.

  • Good strength and elasticity even at low temperatures. (-30ºC / +90ºC)

  • Its polypropylene geotextile is alkali-resistant and guarantees its compatibility with the cement products.

  • Easy to place,welding-free splicing.
consumo

The approximate amount of adhesive when using PROPAM® REPAR EPO 920 is to be 0.5 to 0,7 kg per metre of joint. Using 0.8 to 1.2 kg of PROPAM® IMPE FLEX/ PROPAM® IMPE FLEXITEC per metre of the joint.
The consumption can vary depending on the conditions and irregularities of the substrate. It is advisable to carry out an on-site test to determine the exact amount to be used.
