Rehabilitation of the future Mental Health Hospital

Project description

In the rehabilitation of the building that will house the new Mental Health Hospital of La Seu d’Urgell, lightweight and self-compacting concrete applications were carried out in two distinct phases.

Phase 1 – Pumpable HAL concrete

• Objective: lightweight screed over the existing slab, without requiring high strength (15–20 MPa).
• Surface area: approx. 650 m².
• Benefit: lightweight and easy-to-apply solution.

Phase 2 – HAC concrete with fibres

• Objective: self-compacting concrete pavement to reduce execution time in areas where lightweight material was not needed.
• Surface area: approx. 4,000 m².
• Benefit: speed and durability thanks to fibre reinforcement.

Added value

As both products were pumpable, they enabled an agile and safe application, ensuring fast and efficient execution of the project.
