Walls and reinforced earth

Our precast concrete products also act as walls in civil work performed throughout Spain. We provide a wide range of solutions for our customers, such as:

The ribbed wall consists of a precast reinforced concrete deck from 9 cm to 12 cm thick, typically 240 cm wide, with ribs with variable edges (at least 15 cm at the top) and between 12 cm and 18 cm thick perpendicular to the deck. These can be used to form wing walls, retaining walls or bridge abutments, with the option of smooth or textured finishes.

L-shaped wall

The L-shaped wall consists of two precast reinforced concrete decks that are always 20 cm or 30 cm thick and typically 240 cm wide, joined perpendicularly to each other by an edge to give them their characteristic shape.

They can be used to form wing walls or retaining walls, with the option of smooth or textured finishes. The walls include the corresponding foundations in such a way that, once they have been built, they can be immediately filled with earth. The wall can reach approximately 4 m in height.

Reinforced earth

This solution is based on a permanent joint between its constituent elements, due to the frictional stress created by the earth and the reinforcement. Its versatility allows the resolution of walls in any shape, as there is no inconvenience in creating curved layouts with variable heights.

The reinforced earth can be used to create bridge abutments by means of the interposition of a “floating beam” concreted on the site, which harnesses the loads of the beams and the force of the earth on the extrados of the wall to transmit a distributed load to the mass of reinforced earth. In these cases, a minimum distance from the wall facing to the beams’ support axis of around 120 cm and a “floating beam” edge of about 60 cm should be provided for.
