Vaults and tunnels

Our precast concrete products can be used to build vaults and false tunnels. We manufacture reinforced concrete structures whose section is made up of two vertical gables joined together by a semicircular part of the arch template, giving rise to the shape of a barrel vault of reduced thickness.

The diameter of the galleries may be 200 cm, 300 cm or 400 cm, while the headroom ranges from 110 cm to 345 cm, as appropriate. These elements are manufactured 249 cm long in order to reset them with a 1 cm joint between them. The thickness of the vaults usually ranges between 16 cm and 20 cm, while the precast slabs are between 20 cm and 30 cm or, if they are made on the site, 30 cm and 50 cm thick.

These vaults are most commonly used for subways, channels, collectors and service galleries, provided that their headroom exceeds 60 cm, with potential heights of earth much greater than those permitted by rectangular frames.
