Fibre-reinforced concrete
Manufactured with aggregate of 20 mm maximum, it incorporates various types of fibers in its composition, which can be polypropylene, metallic, fiberglass, polyester, and polymeric, in order to reduce the risk of cracking or increase impact resistance. Some of these fibers can replace traditional reinforcement.
This concrete contains structural fibers, in accordance with Annex 7 of the CodE “Recommendations for the use of Fibre-Reinforced Concrete”

Field of application
- Industrial, airport, interior or outdoor pavements, or large surfaces.
- Structures whose requirements do not allow cracking.
- Elements subject to impacts.
Advantages
- Prevents the risk of cracking, increasing the slab surface area, and thus increasing the distance between expansion joints.
- Improves fire resistance, with polypropylene fibres.
- Can replace traditional reinforcement, with metallic fibres.
Application System
- Direct pouring, with a pump or via a bucket. Curing precautions should be the same as for conventional concrete.
- The fibre can be added at the concrete plant or on-site, requiring a minimum mixing time to ensure the homogeneity of the fiberreinforced concrete.
