We acquire Zenet to expand our industrialised construction footprint in Europe

  • We consolidate our growth strategy in the precast concrete business for housing solutions.
  • We incorporate a plant with a production capacity of 45,000 square metres per month and a team of 50 specialised professionals based in Spain.

We have expanded our precast concrete solutions business through the acquisition of a 90% stake in Zenet, a Spanish manufacturer of reinforced and prestressed precast concrete components.  Located in Escalonilla (Toledo, Spain), the acquisition will enable us to meet the strong demand for industrialised housing construction in central Spain. Zenet’s founder, César Abad, will remain a shareholder and continue to support the business following the transaction.

Operating from a production facility set on a 184,000-square-metre site, Zenet has a monthly capacity of 45,000 square metres of precast elements and employs 50 specialised professionals. The transaction strengthens our capacity to address growing demand for industrialised residential construction across central Spain and neighbouring markets.

Established in 2007, Zenet supplies precast solutions for residential, industrial and civil engineering projects. Its product portfolio includes hollow-core slabs, a key component in modern industrialised building systems, valued for their efficiency, speed of assembly and structural performance.

The integration of Zenet will allow us to expand our structural precast offering, increase production capacity and improve operational efficiency, reinforcing our position in a construction market increasingly focused on productivity, sustainability and reduced build times.

According to Higini Alfageme, Executive Vice President of Molins’ Precast Business“The acquisition of Zenet marks a significant milestone in our strategy to scale industrialised construction solutions. It strengthens our production capacity through the integration of a highly specialised team and a company that has been built with strong operational discipline and long-term vision. Zenet’s solid track record, together with the leadership of its founder, César Abad, has positioned the company as a reference in its field. His continued involvement and the integration of the team will further enhance our ability to deliver high-value structural solutions and reinforce our position in a rapidly evolving market.”

With this transaction, we continue to advance our growth roadmap in precast concrete solutions, aimed at building an industrial network with broader geographic coverage and closer proximity to key demand markets, while strengthening our capabilities and portfolio to accelerate industrialised construction. This marks the third acquisition we announced in our precast business in recent months, following the acquisition of Concremat in Portugal and Baupartner in Southeast Europe.
