Concrete pavement for freezing chambers in the meat industry

Project description

For the new construction of freezing chambers and curing room in a meat processing industry located near Vic, a high-performance concrete pavement was executed, covering a total area of 1,000 m² with a thickness of 20 cm.

The main requirement of the project was to provide a concrete capable of withstanding extreme temperatures of up to –40 °C, as well as the demanding freeze–thaw cycles typical of this type of facility.

Proxtrem with red pigmentation was selected, a fiber-reinforced concrete specially designed with specific additives to resist extreme sub-zero conditions. In addition, as a pump-applied product, it allowed for easy application and fast execution on site, optimizing project timelines.
