Renovation of Barcelona Metro Line 4

Project description

For the renovation of Barcelona Metro Line 4, in the section between Maragall and Trinitat Nova, 8,700 m³ of PROACCESS10 concrete were supplied for the execution of slab track, replacing the traditional ballast system.

The concrete was specifically designed for long-distance pumping without loss of consistency.

The supply was carried out over a period of five weeks from the Ripollet and Montcada plants.

A low carbon footprint concrete was used, produced with in-house raw materials, ensuring continuous supply and proper execution of the works. The project required a significant logistical deployment, with up to 12 concrete mixer trucks per day.

The intervention enabled the renewal of 6 km of track, achieving a record volume for this type of project.
