New construction of freezing chamber

PROXTREM, Promsa’s concrete, was used for the pavement of these 4 cold rooms, specifically for pavements subjected to very low temperature conditions and freeze-thaw cycles.

The work consisted of a new -24ºC freezing chamber of 150m2 and the construction of 3 other new -80ºC chambers of 75m2 each and without joints due to the use of structural polymeric fibres.

Subsequently, it was finished with epoxy paint suitable for agri-food regulations.

The work was carried out in the Osona region (Barcelona province) from Promsa’s plant in Les Masies de Voltregà, near Vic.
