Molins is participating by supplying concrete in the work of the port of Barcelona that is being executed by the UTE Potasas.
The project, owned by ICL, consists of a plant for the reception, storage and shipping by sea of the sodium and potassium salts extracted from the deposit located in Suria-Sallent (Catalonia).
To date, it is the most important work carried out in Catalonia using structural polymeric fibre, applying it in the execution of the paving to replace conventional reinforcement or steel fibre.
In addition to the complexity of the work, there are two additional elements: the proximity of the structure to the sea and the high chloride content of the stockpiled material.
