Restoration of Historic Building of 1884, Barcelona
In the centre of Barcelona, structural reinforcement work was carried out on a building dating from 1884.
Due to the poor condition of the vault fillings, it was necessary to reinforce the structure. The client also opted for the installation of a metal structure with HAL PLUS, a lightweight self-compacting concrete, lightening the structural load and providing strength.
As it is a pumpable material, apart from being resistant, it also provides ease, speed and safety in its application.
For the 3 floors of the old building, approximately 400m2 were made with an average thickness of 10cm. It was supplied from the Molins plant in Zona Franca.
