Molins and Neinor Homes sign a collaboration agreement to advance the decarbonisation of the residential sector

Molins, through its Concrete & Aggregates business, and Neinor Homes have signed a strategic collaboration agreement aimed at promoting more sustainable construction through the use of low-carbon concrete in the residential projects developed by the property developer.

Thanks to this alliance, future Neinor Homes developments will incorporate the sustainable concretes from Molins’ Susterra range, with the goal of significantly reducing CO₂ emissions associated with construction and advancing the decarbonisation of the Spanish real estate stock.

This agreement forms part of the shared vision of both companies to promote construction that is more efficient, innovative, and environmentally responsible, in line with European climate-neutrality commitments. Molins contributes its expertise in sustainable materials and circular-economy practices, while Neinor Homes leads the transformation of the residential sector towards models with lower environmental impact.

Tangible results in recent projects

Collaboration between Neinor Homes and Molins is already delivering concrete, measurable results. Between 2024 and 2025, the two companies worked together on three residential developments in Catalonia —Esplugues de Llobregat, Sant Cugat del Vallès and Sant Adrià de Besòs— where more than 19,000 m³ of Susterra structural concrete were supplied.

The use of this sustainable concrete range enabled a reduction in CO₂ emissions of up to 24%, equivalent to 1,095 tonnes of CO₂ avoided.

Innovation and sustainability at the service of construction

Molins’ Susterra concretes are produced using local raw materials and include an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), ensuring full traceability and transparency regarding their environmental impact. This initiative is part of Molins’ strategy to drive the adoption of more circular, efficient and environmentally respectful construction solutions.

Ramon Torrescasana, Director of the Concrete & Aggregates business of Molins in Spain, highlights:
“This agreement reinforces our commitment to collaborating with key players in the sector to reduce the environmental impact of construction. With Neinor, we share a common vision: to innovate in materials and processes to build a more sustainable future.”

Fernando Hernanz, Chief Operating Officer of Neinor Homes, adds: “This alliance strengthens Neinor Homes’ leadership in sustainability and our strong commitment to the decarbonisation of the residential sector. The incorporation of solutions such as Susterra fully aligns with the objectives of our 2026–2030 Sustainability Plan.”

This agreement reflects the commitment of both companies to sustainability and decarbonisation in the construction industry and paves the way for future collaborations between sector leaders.

Susterra, Molins’ commitment to circular construction

Susterra brings together Molins’ sustainable solutions aimed at reducing carbon footprint and advancing circular-economy practices. It includes cements and concretes with lower CO₂ emissions, as well as products that incorporate recycled materials and alternative fuels.
